Study of Soil Erodibility in Various Agroforestry Systems Based on Elephant Foot Yam (Amorphophallus oncophyllus) in Bayan District, North Lombok Regency

Bayan District has a wavy to mountainous topography. The type of soil in the area is classified as Inceptisol, so it very susceptible erosion. An agroforestry system, with various stands perennial crops, been developed area, conservative measure support sustainability land resources. This study aims assess value erodibility Elephant foot yam-based systems five types stands, namely: Teak (A1), Cashew (A2), “Gamal” and Banana (A3), Cocoa (A4), Coffee (A5). method used descriptive survey technique. Determination research location was carried out by purposive sampling criteria having rather steep slope (15-17%), order located upper slope, high level stand vegetation homogeneity. Soil samples (undisturbed disturbed) were collected using diagonal on 10 x m plots randomly placed each system depth 0-20 cm. Parameters observed texture (pipette method), permeability (constant head), structure (qualitative field), organic matter (Walkley Black). result showed that erodibility, different significantly difference, lowest found (A5) 0,416 highest (A2) 0,661. effectiveness improvement A5 37% better than A2.
